Ed Sheeran says he is quitting Twitter after receiving hateful comments
Yui Mok Yui Mok
ED HAS DESCRIBED the abuse he receives on Twitter as a “head f**k”, saying that he has come off of Twitter completely and can no longer read it.
After too many instances of having his day ruined by receiving unnecessarily rude comments, Ed has finally called it a day. His Twitter account will now only post automatically generated tweets from his Instagram account.

Sheeran added that he’s totally unable to figure out why people don’t like him.
He’s been dragged into a few spats on Twitter over the last few months, including accusations of using a backing track while using a loop pedal on stage at Glastonbury and a load of Lady Gaga fans piling in on him when they mistakenly thought he was shading her in an interview.
Only a few weeks ago, Ed was being endorsed and defended by everyone’s Twitter fav: Chrissy Teigen.

However, for some people every 1,000 good comments can be overshadowed by a single bad one. Ed’s going to focus on spending time with his family and the people around him, rather than paying attention to the names that people are calling him online.
At least he can take comfort in the fact that it’s unlikely that there will be many haters at his seven gigs in Ireland and sold out shows across the globe.
Considering the fact that Beyoncé only tweets about once a year, maybe less Twitter is the key to success.
